Halloween Details

Posted Date: 10/28/25 (5:00 PM)

Hello Woodbury Heights Community!

It's almost Halloween and we want to share some information pertaining to our celebration here at the Woodbury Heights Elementary Ghoul School. On Friday, 10/31/25, there is an EARLY DISMISSAL DAY (12:45pm) for the students and no lunch will be served. Kids Choice will operate on a normal schedule.

Our Halloween festivities important information:

  • Classroom parties will be held in the homerooms before the parade.  Teachers will communicate their class start time with their room parent(s). Please do not come to the school before your report time.

  • For security purposes, parents coming to the parade and helping with classroom parties are not to wear costumes or face paint.

  • The parade will begin at approximately 12:15 PM, on FRIDAY, 10/31/25

  • For the safety of our staff, students and other attendees there are no dogs allowed on the grounds. While we love your pets, others could be allergic or scared.

  • All students in Grades PreK-6 will exit at the MAIN ENTRANCE and walk up towards ACADEMY AVE and parade in front of the building, around the perimeter of the parking lot, and assemble in the parking lot.

  • Cars will not be allowed to park in the parking lot on FRIDAY 10/31/25.

  • Once students have paraded along the front of the school, parents are encouraged to move to the parking lot to view each class.

  • Parents will be asked to stand in a designated area, behind the cones, in order to allow the children a clear area to walk.  This will also enable all of the students to see every class and afford clear visibility for pictures.  Each class will parade around the center of the parking lot.

  • After the last class is presented, all students will file back into the school.

  • No parents will enter the school after the parade. There will be no early dismissals for the students after the parade unless it is an emergency.

  • The parade will be live streamed on Facebook through the WHES Home and School Association page for those not able to attend.

  • In case of inclement weather, the parade will be canceled.  Parties will take place as scheduled.

Costumes 😈

  • Students should not wear their costumes to school.  They will be given time to change before the parade.

  • Students may wear make-up to school.

  • Children should not wear costumes that limit their vision.

  • Costume props, including but not limited to guns, knives, or weapons of any sort are strictly prohibited.

Thank you for your continued cooperation and support of our school.
